1	你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！
			O give thanks unto the LORD, for good: for his mercy for ever.
		2	願耶和華的贖民說這話，就是他從敵人手中所救贖的，
			Let the redeemed of the LORD say , whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
		3	從各地，從東從西，從南從北，所招聚來的。
			And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
		4	他們在曠野荒地漂流，尋不見可住的城邑，
			They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
		5	又飢又渴，心裡發昏。
			Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
		6	於是，他們在苦難中哀求耶和華；他從他們的禍患中搭救他們，
			Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, he delivered them out of their distresses.
		7	又領他們行走直路，使他們往可居住的城邑。
			And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
		8	但願人因耶和華的慈愛和他向人所行的奇事都稱讚他；
			Oh that would praise the LORD his goodness, and his wonderful works to the children of men!
		9	因他使心裡渴慕的人得以知足，使心裡飢餓的人得飽美物。
			For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
		10	那些坐在黑暗中、死蔭裡的人被困苦和鐵鍊捆鎖，
			Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron;
		11	是因他們違背神的話語，藐視至高者的旨意。
			Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
		12	所以，他用勞苦治服他們的心；他們仆倒，無人扶助。
			Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and none to help.
		13	於是，他們在苦難中哀求耶和華；他從他們的禍患中拯救他們。
			Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, he saved them out of their distresses.
		14	他從黑暗中和死蔭裡領他們出來，折斷他們的綁索。
			He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
		15	但願人因耶和華的慈愛和他向人所行的奇事都稱讚他；
			Oh that would praise the LORD his goodness, and his wonderful works to the children of men!
		16	因為他打破了銅門，砍斷了鐵閂。
			For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
		17	愚妄人因自己的過犯和自己的罪孽便受苦楚。
			Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
		18	他們心裡厭惡各樣的食物，就臨近死門。
			Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
		19	於是，他們在苦難中哀求耶和華；他從他們的禍患中拯救他們。
			Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, he saveth them out of their distresses.
		20	他發命醫治他們，救他們脫離死亡。
			He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered from their destructions.
		21	但願人因耶和華的慈愛和他向人所行的奇事都稱讚他。
			Oh that would praise the LORD his goodness, and his wonderful works to the children of men!
		22	願他們以感謝為祭獻給他，歡呼述說他的作為！
			And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
		23	在海上坐船，在大水中經理事務的，
			They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
		24	他們看見耶和華的作為，並他在深水中的奇事。
			These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
		25	因他一吩咐，狂風就起來，海中的波浪也揚起。
			For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
		26	他們上到天空，下到海底；他們的心因患難便消化。
			They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
		27	他們搖搖幌幌，東倒西歪，好像醉酒的人；他們的智慧無法可施。
			They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
		28	於是，他們在苦難中哀求耶和華，他從他們的禍患中領出他們來。
			Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
		29	他使狂風止息，波浪就平靜。
			He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
		30	風息浪靜，他們便歡喜；他就引他們到所願去的海口。
			Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
		31	但願人因耶和華的慈愛和他向人所行的奇事都稱讚他。
			Oh that would praise the LORD his goodness, and his wonderful works to the children of men!
		32	願他們在民的會中尊崇他，在長老的位上讚美他！
			Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
		33	他使江河變為曠野，叫水泉變為乾渴之地，
			He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
		34	使肥地變為鹼地；這都因其間居民的罪惡。
			A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
		35	他使曠野變為水潭，叫旱地變為水泉。
			He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
		36	他使飢餓的人住在那裡，好建造可住的城邑，
			And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
		37	又種田地，栽葡萄園，得享所出的土產。
			And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
		38	他又賜福給他們，叫他們生養眾多，也不叫他們的牲畜減少。
			He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
		39	他們又因暴虐、患難、愁苦，就減少且卑下。
			Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
		40	他使君王蒙羞被辱，使他們在荒廢無路之地漂流。
			He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, no way.
		41	他卻將窮乏人安置在高處，脫離苦難，使他的家屬多如羊群。
			Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh families like a flock.
		42	正直人看見就歡喜；罪孽之輩必塞口無言。
			The righteous shall see , and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
		43	凡有智慧的，必在這些事上留心，也必思想耶和華的慈愛。
			Whoso wise, and will observe these , even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
