1	大利烏王第二年八月，耶和華的話臨到易多的孫子、比利家的兒子先知撒迦利亞，說：
			In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
		2	「耶和華曾向你們列祖大大發怒。
			The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
		3	所以你要對以色列人說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們要轉向我，我就轉向你們。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
			Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
		4	不要效法你們列祖。從前的先知呼叫他們說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：『你們要回頭離開你們的惡道惡行。』他們卻不聽，也不順從我。這是耶和華說的。
			Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
		5	你們的列祖在那裡呢？那些先知能永遠存活嗎？
			Your fathers, where they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
		6	只是我的言語和律例，就是所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們列祖嗎？他們就回頭，說：『萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的行動作為向我們怎樣行，他已照樣行了。』」
			But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
		7	大利烏第二年十一月，就是細罷特月二十四日，耶和華的話臨到易多的孫子、比利家的兒子先知撒迦利亞，說：
			Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
		8	「我夜間觀看，見一人騎著紅馬，站在窪地番石榴樹中間。在他身後又有紅馬、黃馬，和白馬。」
			I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that in the bottom; and behind him red horses, speckled, and white.
		9	我對與我說話的天使說：「主啊，這是什麼意思？」他說：「我要指示你這是什麼意思。」
			Then said I, O my lord, what these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these .
		10	那站在番石榴樹中間的人說：「這是奉耶和華差遣在遍地走來走去的。」
			And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
		11	那些騎馬的對站在番石榴樹中間耶和華的使者說：「我們已在遍地走來走去，見全地都安息平靜。」
			And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
		12	於是，耶和華的使者說：「萬軍之耶和華啊，你惱恨耶路撒冷和猶大的城邑已經七十年，你不施憐憫要到幾時呢？」
			Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
		13	耶和華就用美善的安慰話回答那與我說話的天使。
			And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me good words comfortable words.
		14	與我說話的天使對我說：「你要宣告說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：我為耶路撒冷為錫安，心裡極其火熱。
			So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
		15	我甚惱怒那安逸的列國，因我從前稍微惱怒我民，他們就加害過分。
			And I am very sore displeased with the heathen at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
		16	所以耶和華如此說：現今我回到耶路撒冷，仍施憐憫，我的殿必重建在其中，準繩必拉在耶路撒冷之上。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
			Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
		17	你要再宣告說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：我的城邑必再豐盛發達。耶和華必再安慰錫安，揀選耶路撒冷。」
			Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
		18	我舉目觀看，見有四角。
			Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
		19	我就問與我說話的天使說：「這是什麼意思？」他回答說：「這是打散猶大、以色列，和耶路撒冷的角。」
			And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What these? And he answered me, These the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
		20	耶和華又指四個匠人給我看。
			And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.
		21	我說：「他們來做什麼呢？」他說：「這是打散猶大的角，使人不敢抬頭；但這些匠人來威嚇列國，打掉他們的角，就是舉起打散猶大地的角。」
			Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
