1	耶和華曉諭摩西說：
			And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
		2	「你要用銀子做兩枝號，都要錘出來的，用以招聚會眾，並叫眾營起行。
			Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
		3	吹這號的時候，全會眾要到你那裡，聚集在會幕門口。
			And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
		4	若單吹一枝，眾首領，就是以色列軍中的統領，要聚集到你那裡。
			And if they blow with one , then the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
		5	吹出大聲的時候，東邊安的營都要起行。
			When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
		6	二次吹出大聲的時候，南邊安的營都要起行。他們將起行，必吹出大聲。
			When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
		7	但招聚會眾的時候，你們要吹號，卻不要吹出大聲。
			But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
		8	亞倫子孫作祭司的要吹這號；這要作你們世世代代永遠的定例。
			And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
		9	你們在自己的地，與欺壓你們的敵人打仗，就要用號吹出大聲，便在耶和華你們的神面前得蒙紀念，也蒙拯救脫離仇敵。
			And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
		10	在你們快樂的日子和節期，並月朔，獻燔祭和平安祭，也要吹號，這都要在你們的神面前作為紀念。我是耶和華你們的神。」
			Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I the LORD your God.
		11	第二年二月二十日，雲彩從法櫃的帳幕收上去。
			And it came to pass on the twentieth of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
		12	以色列人就按站往前行，離開西乃的曠野，雲彩停住在巴蘭的曠野。
			And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
		13	這是他們照耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的，初次往前行。
			And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
		14	按著軍隊首先往前行的是猶大營的纛。統領軍隊的是亞米拿達的兒子拿順。
			In the first went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
		15	統領以薩迦支派軍隊的是蘇押的兒子拿坦業。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar Nethaneel the son of Zuar.
		16	統領西布倫支派軍隊的是希倫的兒子以利押。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun Eliab the son of Helon.
		17	帳幕拆卸，革順的子孫和米拉利的子孫就抬著帳幕先往前行。
			And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
		18	按著軍隊往前行的是流便營的纛。統領軍隊的是示丟珥的兒子以利蓿。
			And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host Elizur the son of Shedeur.
		19	統領西緬支派軍隊的是蘇利沙代的兒子示路蔑。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
		20	統領迦得支派軍隊的是丟珥的兒子以利雅薩。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
		21	哥轄人抬著聖物先往前行。他們未到以前，抬帳幕的已經把帳幕支好。
			And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and did set up the tabernacle against they came.
		22	按著軍隊往前行的是以法蓮營的纛，統領軍隊的是亞米忽的兒子以利沙瑪。
			And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host Elishama the son of Ammihud.
		23	統領瑪拿西支派軍隊的是比大蓿的兒子迦瑪列。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
		24	統領便雅憫支派軍隊的是基多尼的兒子亞比但。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin Abidan the son of Gideoni.
		25	在諸營末後的是但營的纛，按著軍隊往前行。統領軍隊的是亞米沙代的兒子亞希以謝。
			And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
		26	統領亞設支派軍隊的是俄蘭的兒子帕結。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher Pagiel the son of Ocran.
		27	統領拿弗他利支派軍隊的是以南的兒子亞希拉。
			And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali Ahira the son of Enan.
		28	以色列人按著軍隊往前行，就是這樣。
			Thus the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
		29	摩西對他岳父（或作：內兄）米甸人流珥的兒子何巴說：「我們要行路，往耶和華所應許之地去；他曾說：『我要將這地賜給你們。』現在求你和我們同去，我們必厚待你，因為耶和華指著以色列人已經應許給好處。」
			And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
		30	何巴回答說：「我不去；我要回本地本族那裡去。」
			And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
		31	摩西說：「求你不要離開我們；因為你知道我們要在曠野安營，你可以當作我們的眼目。
			And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.
		32	你若和我們同去，將來耶和華有什麼好處待我們，我們也必以什麼好處待你。」
			And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
		33	以色列人離開耶和華的山，往前行了三天的路程；耶和華的約櫃在前頭行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安歇的地方。
			And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.
		34	他們拔營往前行，日間有耶和華的雲彩在他們以上。
			And the cloud of the LORD upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
		35	約櫃往前行的時候，摩西就說：「耶和華啊，求你興起！願你的仇敵四散！願恨你的人從你面前逃跑！」
			And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
		36	約櫃停住的時候，他就說：「耶和華啊，求你回到以色列的千萬人中！」
			And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.
