1	國為列國之首，人最著名，且為以色列家所歸向，在錫安和撒瑪利亞山安逸無慮的，有禍了！
			Woe to them at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
		2	你們要過到甲尼察看，從那裡往大城哈馬去，又下到非利士人的迦特，看那些國比你們的國還強嗎？境界比你們的境界還寬嗎？
			Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?
		3	你們以為降禍的日子還遠，坐在位上盡行強暴（或作：行強暴使審判臨近）。
			Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
		4	你們躺臥在象牙床上，舒身在榻上，吃群中的羊羔，棚裡的牛犢；
			That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
		5	彈琴鼓瑟唱消閑的歌曲，為自己製造樂器，如同大衛所造的；
			That chant to the sound of the viol, invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;
		6	以大碗喝酒，用上等的油抹身，卻不為約瑟的苦難擔憂。
			That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
		7	所以這些人必在被擄的人中首先被擄；舒身的人荒宴之樂必消滅了。
			Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.
		8	主耶和華萬軍之神指著自己起誓說：我憎惡雅各的榮華，厭棄他的宮殿；因此，我必將城和其中所有的都交付敵人。
			The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
		9	那時，若在一房之內剩下十個人，也都必死。
			And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
		10	死人的伯叔，就是燒他屍首的，要將這屍首搬到房外，問房屋內間的人說：「你那裡還有人沒有？」他必說：「沒有」；又說：「不要作聲，因為我們不可提耶和華的名。」
			And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that by the sides of the house, yet with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.
		11	看哪，耶和華出令，大房就被攻破，小屋就被打裂。
			For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
		12	馬豈能在崖石上奔跑？人豈能在那裡用牛耕種呢？你們卻使公平變為苦膽，使公義的果子變為茵蔯。
			Shall horses run upon the rock? will plow with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
		13	你們喜愛虛浮的事，自誇說：我們不是憑自己的力量取了角嗎？
			Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
		14	耶和華、萬軍之神說：以色列家啊，我必興起一國攻擊你們；他們必欺壓你們，從哈馬口直到亞拉巴的河。
			But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
