1	以色列的長子原是流便；因他污穢了父親的床，他長子的名分就歸了約瑟。只是按家譜他不算長子。
			Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
		2	猶大勝過一切弟兄，君王也是從他而出；長子的名分卻歸約瑟。
			For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him the chief ruler; but the birthright Joseph's:)
		3	以色列長子流便的兒子是哈諾、法路、希斯倫、迦米。
			The sons, , of Reuben the firstborn of Israel , Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
		4	約珥的兒子是示瑪雅；示瑪雅的兒子是歌革；歌革的兒子是示每；
			The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
		5	示每的兒子是米迦；米迦的兒子是利亞雅；利亞雅的兒子是巴力；
			Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
		6	巴力的兒子是備拉。這備拉作流便支派的首領，被亞述王提革拉毗尼色擄去。
			Beerah his son, whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away : he prince of the Reubenites.
		7	他的弟兄照著宗族，按著家譜作族長的是耶利、撒迦利雅、比拉。
			And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
		8	比拉是亞撒的兒子；亞撒是示瑪的兒子；示瑪是約珥的兒子；約珥所住的地方是從亞羅珥直到尼波和巴力免，
			And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baalmeon:
		9	又向東延到伯拉大河這邊的曠野，因為他們在基列地牲畜增多。
			And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
		10	掃羅年間，他們與夏甲人爭戰，夏甲人倒在他們手下，他們就在基列東邊的全地，住在夏甲人的帳棚裡。
			And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east of Gilead.
		11	迦得的子孫在流便對面，住在巴珊地，延到撒迦。
			And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:
		12	他們中間有作族長的約珥，有作副族長的沙番，還有雅乃和住在巴珊的沙法。
			Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
		13	他們族弟兄是米迦勒、米書蘭、示巴、約賴、雅干、細亞、希伯，共七人。
			And their brethren of the house of their fathers , Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
		14	這都是亞比孩的兒子。亞比孩是戶利的兒子；戶利是耶羅亞的兒子；耶羅亞是基列的兒子；基列是米迦勒的兒子；米迦勒是耶示篩的兒子；耶示篩是耶哈多的兒子；耶哈多是布斯的兒子。
			These the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
		15	還有古尼的孫子、押比疊的兒子亞希。這都是作族長的。
			Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
		16	他們住在基列與巴珊和巴珊的鄉村，並沙崙的郊野，直到四圍的交界。
			And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
		17	這些人在猶大王約坦並在以色列王耶羅波安年間，都載入家譜。
			All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
		18	流便人、迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人，能拿盾牌和刀劍、拉弓射箭、出征善戰的勇士共有四萬四千七百六十名。
			The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.
		19	他們與夏甲人、伊突人、拿非施人、挪答人爭戰。
			And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
		20	他們得了神的幫助，夏甲人和跟隨夏甲的人都交在他們手中；因為他們在陣上呼求神，倚賴神，神就應允他們。
			And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.
		21	他們擄掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有駱駝五萬，羊二十五萬，驢二千；又有人十萬。
			And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.
		22	敵人被殺仆倒的甚多，因為這爭戰是出乎神。他們就住在敵人的地上，直到被擄的時候。
			For there fell down many slain, because the war of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
		23	瑪拿西半支派的人住在那地。從巴珊延到巴力黑們、示尼珥與黑門山。
			And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baalhermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.
		24	他們的族長是以弗、以示、以列、亞斯列、耶利米、何達威雅、雅疊，都是大能的勇士，是有名的人，也是作族長的。
			And these the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, heads of the house of their fathers.
		25	他們得罪了他們列祖的神，隨從那地之民的神行邪淫；這民就是神在他們面前所除滅的。
			And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
		26	故此，以色列的神激動亞述王普勒和亞述王提革拉毗尼色的心，他們就把流便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人擄到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日還在那裡。
			And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
